Being a beach lover, there is nothing like some time at the shore! This week Carey and I took some vacation time and went away to Florida. For part of our time away we took a one day excursion to cable beach in Nassau Bahamas. I can’t say which has refreshed us more the time away or the amazing scenery. In the words of a British man I met…its brilliant! Creation really does testify to the brilliance of God.

What an amazing week. I have to say that our first CITYREACH at Ridgewood was a success. Here’s some of the stats: On average we had 150 people each night, Over 200 people showed up for our block-party, We gave away 71 backpacks and the most important number…14 people found Christ.
I have to say a hug thank you to all of our volunteers…we couldn’t have done it with out you. You made me proud to be your pastor. Some of the best people on the plant go to Ridgewood Church. And to think we weren’t the only site. What God is doing is amazing!

I’m really looking forward to this coming week. Cityreach is always one of the highlights of my year. It’s an awesome time to connect with our community, living out the love of God in authentic ways. I’m also looking forward to this years speaking line up. Gregg Hubbard and Seth Franco are amazing speaker…I can’t wait to see what God does.
Here’s the line up of events:
- Monday night – time of prayer for the events / volunteer orientation
- Tuesday – Thursday night – three nights of service / worship experience
- Friday – Community block-party / backpack giveaway
- Each nights events start at 7 PM and run til 9 PM
